We are looking for a Social Media Editor to join our English-language newsroom. This is a hands-on editorial role focused on executing social coverage for breaking news and daily reporting across our platforms.

The position is ideal for a junior editor with strong news instincts and an interest in international affairs. The role includes some evening and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities:
- Write and edit social posts for X, Facebook and Instagram.
- Support live and breaking news coverage in real time.
- Work closely with editors and reporters to package stories for social platforms.
- Adapt headlines and articles into clear, engaging social copy.
- Assist in planning and publishing evergreen and feature content.
- Help prepare basic visuals and short video clips for social use.

Requirements:
- Strong English writing and editing skills.
- Interest in news, current affairs and digital journalism.
- Strong grasp of U.S., Jewish diaspora and Middle East news cycles.
- Familiarity with major social platforms in a news context.
- Ability to work under time pressure and handle breaking news.
- Team player with good editorial judgment and attention to detail.

An advantage:
- Previous newsroom, digital or social media experience.
- Familiarity with design and video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe, CapCut or similar).
- Experience with short-form video or visual content.
